Ontario Tech Ridgebacks lacrosse coach Liane Chornobay made history this season, leading the team to a program-best silver medal with an all-women coaching staff.

ST. CATHARINES, ONT. – The Ridgebacks lacrosse team are taking home a silver medal after appearing their first OUA Lacrosse Championship finals in program history.

The Ontario Tech lacrosse program secured their best finish in a season yet with an 11-7 victory over the Trent Excalibur in the OUA Lacrosse Championship semifinals and will now move on to the gold medal game on Sunday at noon where they will face the Queen's Gaels.

The Ridgebacks lacrosse team finished up the regular season with a 16-10 win over the Toronto Varsity Blues on the road.

The Ontario Tech Ridgebacks five game win streak came to an end on Sunday afternoon with a 12-6 loss to the Trent Excalibur in Toronto.
