Wellness Nook at North Campus: A Step Toward Holistic Health
Hey everyone! I’m beyond excited to share some BIG news — we’re opening a brand-new Wellness Nook in SHA 029 at the North campus! This space is all about giving you a place to relax, recharge, and focus on your well-being. The grand opening is happening on January 10th, and I can’t wait for you to check it out.
Students will be able to book the space for independent, self care and self reflection activities, such as yoga, meditation, decompression relaxation, and aromatherapy. The space will be available from 10 a.m to 4 p.m. Monday to Friday, and can be booked for a one hour period.
First, I want to give a huge shoutout to Krysta Iatropoulos, our Wellness & Support Services Coordinator who made this dream a reality. Krysta poured her heart into this project, handling every detail and making sure this space truly feels like home. Her dedication is the reason we’ll have this incredible place to escape the hustle and bustle of campus life.
So, what’s the Wellness Nook all about? Think cozy vibes, a peaceful atmosphere, and a space designed just for YOU to take a breather. Whether you need a quiet corner to catch your breath, some time to reflect, or just a place to chill, the Wellness Nook has you covered. Inspired by our Downtown Campus Wellness Nook, it’ll also offer tools for mindfulness, mental health resources, and a place to recharge — physically and mentally.
We know how crazy student life can get, and sometimes you just need a moment to reset. This is that space. And honestly? We all deserve it.
Stay tuned for more details about our grand opening event, and be sure to drop by on January 10th to experience this incredible new space. A huge thank you again to Krysta and all the staff who made this vision a reality. Let's make 2025 a year of wellness and self-care!
