Introducing Midnight Miles: Get $10 on your Lyft Ride Home During Exam Season
It’s late, the library lights are dimming, and your brain’s officially hit capacity for caffeine and course notes. We know all too well that exam season can stretch into the night. Enter: Midnight Miles. The OTSU is teaming up with Lyft to offer students $10 off of their Lyft ride home this exam season. Getting home at midnight is a hassle, and we want to make sure you get home safe and save you money!
What is Midnight Miles?
Midnight Miles is a brand-new, late-night transportation initiative designed just for Ontario Tech students.
Here’s what you need to know:
- Get a $10 off Lyft discount code for your ride home
- Use on weekdays, between 8 p.m. and 2 a.m. during the exam season (Dec 3-12)
- Available from both the North Campus and Downtown Campus
- Limit of one code per student, up to 100 rides per week for two weeks during exam season
Midnight Miles is here to make sure you get home safe without struggling to find a bus or call for a pick up. It’s convenience, safety, and savings rolled into one smooth ride.
How it Works
Mark your calendars, because codes will be released in two drops. Each drop will release 100 codes on a first-come, first-served basis. That’s 200 codes total for the exam period.
The two code drops are:
- November 26
- December 3
How to claim your code
- Fill out the online MIdnight Miles Form to claim your code.
- Check your email to receive your $10 Lyft discount code.
- Apply the discount code at the time of ride order placed.
When to use your code
Codes can only be used on weekdays, between 8 p.m. and 2 a.m. during the exam season (Dec 3-12).
Note: Codes are geo-specific, working only when booking a ride near Downtown or North Campus.
Why Midnight Miles Matters
We know exam season doesn’t stop at sunset, and neither should your peace of mind. Midnight Miles was created to help students focus on what matters most: studying hard and getting home safely after. With Lyft’s trusted drivers and the OTSU’s commitment to student wellbeing, you can rest easy knowing you’ve got a reliable way home when the night runs long. No one should have to sacrifice safety and comfort to get a good grade.
