Ontario Tech’s President honoured with prestigious King Charles III Coronation Medal

Ontario Tech University proudly celebrates President and Vice-Chancellor Dr. Steven Murphy for receiving the distinguished King Charles Coronation Medal, recognizing his transformative contributions to Ontario, Canada and beyond.

Dr. Murphy has revolutionized Ontario Tech’s brand, and championed students’ creativity and entrepreneurial mindset through the creation of the Brilliant Catalyst. He’s established the university as a leader in energy, ethical technology and innovation through a number of initiatives including the development of the Brilliant Energy Institute.

His forward-thinking, flexible and personalized approach to higher education helps drive Canada’s economy, empower lifelong learners, and equip students with the skills needed to excel in their careers.

Presented by Durham MP Jamil Jivani on January 11 in Bowmanville, this honour marks a significant milestone in Dr. Murphy’s impactful leadership.
