NORTH BAY, Ont. – The Ontario Tech Ridgebacks women's soccer team dropped a 6-1 decision to the Nipissing Lakers on Saturday afternoon in North Bay.
Tara Sisic opened the scoring in the 10th minute, giving the Ridgebacks an early 1-0 lead. From there, however, the Lakers responded with six unanswered goals, including two from Annika Nolte, to secure the win.
Ontario Tech generated six total shots, with Sisic and Jenna Viduka each recording one on target. Goalkeeper Talia Hopkin faced heavy pressure throughout the match, finishing with 15 saves on 21 shots.
It will be a quick turn around for the Ridgebacks as they will face the Laurentian Voyageurs tomorrow at noon in Sudbury, Ont.
