Lakers rock Ridgebacks on the road

The Ontario Tech women's soccer team have fell to Nipissing for the second time this season after losing 5-1 to the Lakers on Sunday afternoon.

NORTH BAY, Ont. – The Ontario Tech women's soccer team have fell to Nipissing for the second time this season after losing 5-1 to the Lakers on Sunday afternoon.

The Lakers came out of the gate hot and found two goals from Annika Nolte in the opening 15 minutes of the game. Not to be outdone, Jessica Emmerton scored a hatrick with three goals coming back-to-back. 

Karlia Jean-Baptiste (Markham, Ont.) was the lone Ridgeback to find their way onto the board.

The Ridgebacks will have some time to regroup before they head to Peterborough, Ont. on Saturday, September 27 to take on the Trent Excalibur.
