Ridgebacks add Martins to 2025 recruiting class
OSHAWA, Ont. – The Ridgebacks women's soccer team is excited to announce the addition of midfielder, Tienna Martins to the 2025 recruiting class.
Martins joins Ontario Tech from St. Thomas Aquinas secondary school where she helped the team to a city finals in the past three years, as well as being the top team in London, Ont. and winning silver at OFSAA this past season as the co-captain.
The five-foot-four midfielder has also played for Alliance FC for the past six years, being undefeated throughout her time in the league and being the top team. Martins also won the U15 Ontario Cup as well as the U17 Ontario Cup.
The London, Ont. native lists her biggest athletic accomplishments as making it to the U15 soccer nationals in Prince Edward Island, the U17 soccer nationals in Nova Scotia and her 2024 OFSAA run in Windsor.
"Tienna is a solid box-to-box midfielder known for her high work rate and ability to break up play while threatening the backline" says Audra Sherman, head coach of the women's soccer team, "Her diverse playing style will greatly enhance our overall team performance, and we can't wait to see her impact on the field!"
Martins will be joining the soccer team next year, in 2025 as she looks to make a positive impact on both ends of the pitch.
