Ridgebacks down TMU Bold at Vaso's Field
The Ontario Tech Ridgebacks women's soccer team earned its first win of the 2025 season, defeating the TMU Bold 2-1 at Vaso's Field.
OSHAWA, Ont. – The Ontario Tech Ridgebacks women's soccer team earned its first win of the 2025 season, defeating the TMU Bold 2-1 at Vaso's Field.
The Ridgebacks came out strong in the second half after a scoreless opening 45 minutes. Just minutes into the second half, Emma Dang opened the scoring, finishing a pass from Asha Cameron to give Ontario Tech the lead.
In the 90th minute, Mary Nicolaou doubled the Ridgebacks' lead in stoppage time.
Toronto Metropolitan responded seconds later through Natalie Moynihan, but the Ridgebacks held on to secure the victory.
Ontario Tech looks to build on the momentum Saturday, September 27, on the road against the Nipissing Lakers.
