WATERLOO, Ont. – The Ontario Tech women's hockey team fell 5–0 to the Laurier Golden Hawks on Thursday, February 12.
Laurier built a 2–0 lead in the opening period, including a power-play goal midway through the frame, and carried that momentum into the intermission.
The Golden Hawks added two more in the second period to extend the advantage to 4–0 after 40 minutes before closing out the scoring in the third.
Ava Antle made 20 saves in goal for Ontario Tech, facing 25 shots on the night. The Ridgebacks generated 19 shots of their own but were unable to find a breakthrough despite three power-play opportunities.
The Ridgebacks will close out the regular season on Saturday, February 14 when they travel to Kingston, Ont. to take on the Queen's Gaels before shifting their focus to the playoff
