Women's basketball three-peat while men reclaim Campus Clash trophy
OSHAWA, Ont. – The Ontario Tech basketball teams swept the third annual Campus Clash, facing the Durham Lords on Thursday night at the Campus Recreation and Wellness Centre.
From start to finish, the afternoon was filled with exciting moments and great energy. The skills competition showcased the basketball talent of students around campus, and the Intramural All-Star Game was finished with a thrilling overtime win for the Durham team.
Campus Clash saw the women's hockey and soccer teams arrive in full gear to cheer on their fellow Ridgebacks, and later on, the men's hockey and soccer teams came to show their school pride.
Brianna Morrison (Oshawa, Ont.) led the Ontario Tech women's basketball team to a domination 37-16 win and was named Ridgebacks Player of the Game before celebration alongside her teammates and other Ridgeback women's teams.
The men's match up saw an exciting exchange of flashy plays, ally-oops and three point shooting. However, the Ridgebacks pulled away with an 88-56 win led by veteran Peter De La Paz, who earned Ridgebacks Player of the Game.
