Ontario Tech's offence stalls in nation's capitol

The Ontario Tech women's basketball team struggled to find their rhythm Saturday, falling 111-42 to the Ottawa Gee-Gees at Montpetit Hall.

OTTAWA, Ont. –  The Ontario Tech women's basketball team struggled to find their rhythm Saturday, falling 111-42 to the Ottawa Gee-Gees at Montpetit Hall.

The Ridgebacks faced an uphill battle from the start, as the Gee-Gees opened the game with a dominant 32-point first quarter and never looked back.

Brianna Morrison led the Ridgebacks with six points on 3-of-10 shooting, while Kaleah Gosse and Adra Barnet also chipped in six points apiece. Isabella Stuckey provided energy off the bench, scoring five points and grabbing five rebounds.

Despite trailing 59-22 at halftime, the Ridgebacks continued to battle, with Ellycea Burke hitting a three-pointer in the final quarter. However, Ottawa's depth proved too much, outscoring Ontario Tech 29-13 in the final frame.
