Ridgebacks fall to Carleton in season finale
OSHAWA, Ont. – The Ontario Tech Ridgebacks ran into a dominant Carleton Ravens squad on Saturday, falling 79-46 at the Campus Recreation and Wellness Centre.
Isabella Stuckey led Ontario Tech with 12 points off the bench, while Adra Barnet chipped in with eight, including two three-pointers. Brianna Morrison contributed nine points, but the Ridgebacks struggled from the field, shooting just 27.6 per cent overall.
Carleton set the tone early, outscoring Ontario Tech 22-14 in the first quarter before holding the Ridgebacks to just seven points in the second. The visitors extended their lead with a dominant third quarter, outscoring Ontario Tech 24-9. The Ridgebacks showed fight in the fourth, with a 16-point effort, but the gap was too large to overcome.
Prior to the game, the Ridgebacks celebrated the contributions of Karlie Stewart and Jaimie Timbol, two outstanding student-athletic trainers who have had made an impact with the men's and women's basketball teams.
