Huebel and Dang named Ontario Tech athletes of the week
OSHAWA, Ont. – Nicolaus Huebel of men's golf and Emma Dang of women's soccer have been named Ontario Tech athletes of the week for the period ending on Sunday, September 21.
Emma Dang and the Ridgebacks women's soccer team took down the TMU Bold 2-1 Sunday afternoon while hosting the OUA Anti-Racism Awareness Week game at Vaso's Field. Dang opened the scoring for the Ridgebacks just minutes into the second half, netting her second goal of the year.
Huebel and the Ridgebacks golf teams travelled to St. Catharines, Ont., for the Brock Invitational on Sunday. Huebel led the way for the Ridgebacks, carding a 74 for the day and placing eighth in individual scores.
The Ridgebacks women's soccer team makes the road trip up north with stops at Nipissing and Laurentian this weekend, while the golf teams stop in Guelph, Ont., for the Gryphon Invitational on Monday, September 29.
