Ridgebacks snap three game skid
OSHAWA, Ont. – The Ontario Tech Ridgebacks snapped a three game skid, and took control in the fourth quarter to defeat the Toronto Varsity Blues 83–60 on Saturday night.
Zubair Seyed led the Ridgebacks with 23 points, shooting an efficient 56.3 per cent from the field, while adding seven assists. Keon Baker contributed 18 points and grabbed three rebounds, while Tombe Pitia stuffed the stat sheet with 10 points, six rebounds, and four steals. The Ridgebacks' bench chipped in 25 points, showcasing the team's depth.
Ontario Tech excelled defensively, forcing 21 turnovers and recording 16 steals. They capitalized with 26 points off turnovers and dominated inside, scoring 48 points in the paint. The win improves the Ridgebacks' record to 5-4 this season, marking their second straight victory.
The Ridgebacks will wrap up the calendar year with a match up against the Guelph Gryphons on the road, before returning to Oshawa on January 10 to take on the Nipissing Lakers.
