Ling joins 2025-26 men's hockey class
OSHAWA, Ont. – The Ontario Tech men's hockey program is excited to announce the addition of Nolan Ling to the 2025-26 recruiting class.
"I'm honoured to be given this opportunity to be a part of the Ridgebacks as I have only heard great things about the program," said Ling. "I am looking forward to furthering my education and continuing my hockey career at the U SPORTS level. Super excited to get started."
The Oshawa, Ont. defencemen spent two years with the Gatineau Olympiques, where he appeared in 95 games, tallying 22 assists in 57 games in 2023-24 before joining the Haliburton County Huskies this year, where he notched 11 assists in 14 games. Ling also appeared in 12 games for the Kingston Frontenacs of the OHL in the 2022-23 season.
"Nolan is another great addition to our program. He is a two-way defenceman who defends very well with his outstanding skating ability but who also can chip in on the offensive side of the puck," said Ridgebacks Head Coach, Curtis Hodgins. "Nolan played big minutes with a very good Haliburton team this past season and also got some quality experience during his time in the QMJHL over the past couple of years. He is another local product, and we look forward to seeing him on the ice with our team this September. "
