Houndonougbo Joins Ridgebacks Men’s Basketball
OSHAWA, Ont. – The Ontario Tech Ridgebacks men's basketball team is excited to announce the addition of centre Brandon Houndonougbo to the 2026-27 recruiting class.
A six-foot-seven, 225-pound centre from Abidjan, Ivory Coast, Houndonougbo joins the Ridgebacks after competing at Briercrest College in the ACAC, where he developed into a strong interior presence on both ends of the floor.
"Brandon brings exactly what we value in our program — toughness, rim protection, and a relentless motor," said Ridgebacks head coach Deluxshan Pathmanathan. "He's a true five who impacts the game on both ends of the floor, and just as importantly, he's a high-character young man. We're excited about what he'll bring to Ontario Tech."
During the 2025–26 season with Briercrest, Houndonougbo averaged 8.5 points and 7.6 rebounds per game while shooting 57.4 percent from the field, helping anchor the team's front court.
Houndonougbo was also part of Briercrest's ACAC championship-winning team in 2024–25, contributing to a dominant 19–1 season for the program.
Off the court, Houndonougbo plans to study Commerce at Ontario Tech.
