Men's soccer add Dawoud to the attack
OSHAWA, Ont. – The Ontario Tech men's soccer program is happy to announce the addition of Anthony Dawoud to the 2025 recruiting class.
"I'm looking forward to starting my new journey with the Ridgebacks and displaying my skills out on the field to help the team win," said Dawoud.
The Oshawa native made a name for himself over the past few years, being a part of the Ontario provincial team two years in a row as a member of FC Durham. Dawoud was also a top performer with Pickering FC, being the second top goalscorer, scoring 27 goals in his first season in Pickering. Since joining FC Durham, he scored two out of three goals in the Trillium Cup finals, which helped them win the game three to one.
"We are truly happy to announce Anthony's commitment to the Ridgebacks family," said Ramin Mohammadi, Head Coach of the Ridgebacks men's soccer team. "Anthony has been part of the FC Durham high-performance program for a while, and he has demonstrated the qualities that we are looking for within our program. His experience as an Ontario League 1 reserve this season will help him transition into the OUA environment, and we look forward to seeing his development in our environment. Anthony will enhance our attacking and add strength to our existing line. Welcome to the family, Anthony!"
