Men's hockey adds versatile Mittoo to recruiting class
OSHAWA, Ont. – The Ontario Tech men's hockey team is excited to announce the addition of forward Ishan Mittoo to the 2025-26 recruiting class.
"I'm really excited to spend my next four years at Ontario Tech University," said Mittoo. "I've heard nothing but great things and believe it will be the best place for me to continue my hockey and academic aspirations. Can't wait to get started."
The Toronto, Ont. native is coming to the Ridgebacks after spending the last three seasons with the Lloydminster Bobcats of the Alberta Junior Hockey League, where he appeared in 137 games, tallying 26 goals and 38 assists. He also spent time with the Aberdeen Wings in the NAHL, scoring five goals and notching three assists in the 2024-25.
"We are very excited to add Ishan to our program here at Ontario Tech," said Ridgebacks head coach Curtis Hodgins. "We were in the market for a 200-foot player who plays on both sides of the puck and can also be effective on the penalty kill, and Ishan fits that bill perfectly. We look forward to seeing Ishan in a Ridgebacks uniform this coming Fall."
