OSHAWA, Ont. — The Ontario Tech Ridgebacks dropped a 5–4 overtime decision to the Carleton Ravens on Friday, January 23, at Carleton.
Kyle Leonard led the Ridgebacks with a pair of goals, opening the scoring late in the first period before adding his second midway through the second. Alex Drover and Ishan Mittoo also found the back of the net for Ontario Tech, while Gabriel Bernier recorded two assists.
Ontario Tech carried a 4–3 lead into the final minutes of regulation after Mittoo tied the game at four with just under three minutes remaining, but Carleton responded to force overtime before Nick McCarry scored the game-winner 34 seconds into the extra frame.
The Ridgebacks outshot the Ravens 38–25 and went 0-for-4 on the power play. Beckett Langkow made 20 saves in goal for Ontario Tech.
Ontario Tech will look to bounce back on Saturday, January 24, when they visit the Ottawa Gee-Gees.
