Seyed's 28 points lead Ridgebacks to North Bay win
NORTH BAY, Ont. – Ontario Tech Ridgebacks secured a crucial 78-65 victory over the Nipissing Lakers on Saturday night, led by a dominant performance from Zubair Seyed.
The Ridgebacks' guard put up a game-high 28 points on 10-of-14 shooting, including four three-pointers, while adding seven assists and five rebounds.
Ontario Tech established control early, outscoring Nipissing 18-14 in the first quarter before extending their lead to 40-28 at halftime. A strong third quarter, powered by Seyed's 14-point surge, helped the Ridgebacks build an 18-point advantage. Despite a late push from the Lakers, Ontario Tech held firm in the fourth to close out the win.
Raeshaun Ambris added 15 points, while Azad Chahak chipped in 13. The Ridgebacks improve to 9-11 on the season.
