Ridgebacks gain defensive presence with commitment of Ambris
OSHAWA, Ont. – The Ontario Tech men's basketball team is happy to announce the addition of Rae Ambris to the 2024-25 recruiting class.
"Coming to Ontario Tech University to be a part of this team is like coming home to family," said Ambris. "I'm excited to show what I can do on the basketball court and continue to improve with the guidance of our coaching staff and my teammates, who accepted and instilled confidence in me. I can't wait to show what we are capable of doing this year. "
The six-foot-four point guard is a native of Toronto, Ont. and is making his way to the Ridgebacks after spending three years playing in the U.S.A. During the 2020-21 season, he played for Angelina College, where he averaged 11 points, four assists, and four rebounds in 28 games played before transferring to Moberly Area College in 2021-22. In the 2023-24 season, he suited up for the Central Missouri Mules.
"I'm excited to welcome Rae to our university," said head coach Deluxshan Pathmanathan. "He is an athletic guard who will be our defensive anchor this year. Rae is hardworking and always looking to do the right thing. We expect him to be a leader on and off the court. I am thrilled to have Rae join our family at Ontario Tech."
