OSHAWA, Ont. – The Ontario Tech men's basketball program is happy to announce the signing of Jaiden Kandasamy to the 2025-26 recruiting class.
"Ontario Tech has been amazing during the whole recruitment process, and they embody everything I value in a program," said Kandasamy. "I'm grateful that they are willing to bet on me and eager to put in the work and do great things here. "
The point guard is coming off a strong season, with the Brampton City Prep averaging 21.5 points per game, 4.1 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game. Kandasamy was also a defensive force, averaging 2.1 steals a game.
Kandasamy was also named an Ontario Scholastic Basketball Association Trillium West First Team All-Star.
"Jaiden is a hard-nosed competitor with a natural ability to score at all three levels," said Ridgebacks Head Coach Deluxshan Pathmanathan. "His work ethic, intensity, and passion for the game set him apart on the court. Off the court, he's a well-rounded student-athlete who demonstrates strong character and academic discipline. We're thrilled to welcome Jaiden to campus and excited for the impact he'll make both athletically and academically."
