OSHAWA, Ont. – Ontario Tech men's basketball is excited to welcome Avedes Karagavor to the 2024-25 recruiting class.
The six-foot-four guard is making his way to Oshawa, Ont. after representing the Armenian senior men's national team earlier this year.
"I am looking to come to help the Ontario Tech Men's basketball program grow and compete for a championship," said Karagavor. "I am excited to join the school community and build relationships."
Karagavor went to Mesrobian Technical College in Lebanon for high school basketball. He'll join an Ontario Tech team coming off its best season in program history, finishing 16-6 in the regular season and picking up their first playoff victory.
"I am very excited to have Avo commit to Ontario Tech University," said Ridgebacks Men's Basketball Head Coach Deluxshan Pathmanathan. "He fits our mold for recruits as he is very athletic and can play well in transition and the half-court. I look forward to having him join us and help take our basketball program to new heights."
When Karagavor arrives on campus this fall, he will enroll in the Business program.
