Ridgebacks add outside shooting with addition of Chahal
OSHAWA, Ont. – The Ridgebacks men's basketball program is thrilled to announce the addition of Azad Chahal to the 2024-25 recruiting class.
"Joining Ontario Tech men's basketball is a huge step for me. I can already feel the team's energy and commitment," said Chahal. "I'm excited to be part of a group where I know we'll push each other to get better every day. I'm ready to give it my all and be part of something great as we build our legacy together."
The six-foot-three shooting guard from London, Ont. is making his way to the Ridgebacks after playing one year with the Fanshawe Falcons in the OCAA where he averaged 11 points on nearly 40 per cent three-point shooting. Before that, he spent time with Webber Warriors for the 2022-23 season and attended high school at H.B. Beal.
"I am looking forward to having Azad join our program and school community," said Ridgebacks head coach Deluxshan Pathmanathan. "Azad can shoot the ball very well and will complement our offense by being able to space the floor for us. I am excited to work with him in the coming weeks."
