Achioso and Hutton named Ontario Tech athletes of the week
OSHAWA, Ont. – Dustin Hutton of men's hockey and Amarachi Achioso of women's basketball have been named Ontario Tech athletes of the week for the period ending on December 1.
Hutton helped the Ontario Tech men's hockey team to a 4-1 victory over the Western Mustangs. The team scored two goals in the first period and one in each of the last two periods, with one of them being assisted by Dustin. He also notched an assist in the 3-0 win over the Lakehead Thunderwolves on Friday, November 29.
Achioso tallied eight assists and six defensive rebounds in this week's match-up with the Guelph Gryphons. Amarachi has now finished the first term, leading the team in assists and second in points per game.
Both teams will be enjoying the winter break in OUA action but will return in early January.
