Keshishian and Taylor named Ontario Tech athletes of the week
OSHAWA, Ont. – Christian Keshishian of men's soccer and Audrey Taylor of lacrosse have been named Ontario Tech athletes of the week for the period ending Sunday, September 7.
Taylor and the Ridgebacks lacrosse team opened their season at home this past weekend and started with a 16-7 win over the McGill Martlets. Taylor played a prominent role in the Ridgebacks' victory with six goals and chipped in two more when the Ontario Tech took on Queen's later in the day.
Keshishian helped the Ridgebacks men's soccer team rebound into form in a big way with a three-goal performance against the Laurentian Voyageurs on Sunday that carried the Ridgebacks to a 5-1 victory.
Both teams will return to action this weekend when lacrosse heads out on the road to face the Toronto Varsity Blues and Trent Excalibur, while men's soccer hosts the Carleton Ravens on Saturday, September 13 at 3:15 p.m.
