Ontario Tech earns 1-1 draw in Peterborough
The Ridgebacks women's soccer team picked up its first point of the year with a 1-1 tie against the Trent Excalibur on Saturday afternoon.
PETERBOROUGH, Ont. – The Ridgebacks women's soccer team picked up its first point of the year with a 1-1 tie against the Trent Excalibur on Saturday afternoon.
Ontario Tech found the back of the net first, with Mya Brown scoring her first Ridgebacks goal on an assist from Ella Pechkoff in the seventh minute of the game.
Emma Da Silva evened the score in the 20th minute on a penalty kick.
Jacqueline Cardy started in net for the Ridgebacks and registered two saves, while Kymora Chung started for the Excalibur and recorded three saves.
The Ridgebacks will return home to Vaso's Field on Saturday, September 13, at 1 p.m., when the Carleton Ravens make a stop in Oshawa.
