- From classroom to control room: Ontario Tech fast-tracks mid-career talent into Canada’s nuclear sectorCanada’s nuclear sector faces a 30 per cent retirement rate and an expected 20 per cent demand for workforce growth. Ontario Tech has responded with a proactive solution: the Nuclear Career Accelerator. This 12-week rapid upskilling hybrid program, funded by Upskill Canada, powered by Palette Skills, and the Government of Canada, is designed for mid-career engineers and technical professionals.
- Service disruption: Bordessa Hall construction July 21 to August 26, and closure August 5 through 17In preparation for the installation of a new HVAC system, construction will take place on the fifth floor of Bordessa Hall from Monday, July 21 through Tuesday, August 26. As part of this project, all of Bordessa Hall will close Tuesday, August 5 through Sunday, August 17 to accommodate welding work on the roof structure. Please do not schedule any employee, student, research or visitor activities in the building during this period.

- Ontario Tech breaks enrolment record once again as demand for future-ready programs growsAs of June 5, more than 2,200 Ontario high school applicants have already confirmed their offers to attend Ontario Tech for the 2025-2026 academic year, a 9.3 per cent increase over last year, surpassing the provincial average of 6.4 per cent. This marks the third consecutive year with more than 2,000 domestic confirmations, representing an impressive 57.4 per cent increase since 2020.
