Ridgebacks bolster backcourt with addition of Thompson
OSHAWA, Ont. – The Ontario Tech men's basketball team are excited to announce the addition of Regina, Sask., guard Kaiden Thompson to the men's basketball program.
Thompson began his varsity career in Grade 10 with Michael A. Riffel High School, where he was a key contributor to back-to-back city championship teams in Grades 11 and 12.
Outside of school competition, he developed his skills with Rise Above Basketball under coach Navanga Burke from Grade 10 through 12, while also representing Team Saskatchewan on the provincial stage following the COVID-19 pandemic.
Most recently, Thompson suited up for the Academy Phoenix in the 2024-25 season,

"Kaiden is a dynamic athlete whose skill set, discipline, and competitive drive make him a perfect fit for our team culture. His leadership qualities and commitment to growth will no doubt make a strong impact both on the court and within our Ridgeback community."
