Ontario Tech University is celebrating its countless volunteers for their support and invaluable contributions in recognition of National Volunteer Week, from Sunday, April 27, to Saturday, May 3. The university takes great pride in recognizing the remarkable impact of its volunteer community and their generous efforts.

Embracing this year’s theme, Volunteers Make Waves, Ontario Tech highlights the important role its volunteers play in advancing the university’s mission and furthering the vision of the Tech with a Conscience campaign.

From students, faculty, staff, alumni, donors, partners, friends, and members of the Alumni Association Council, Campaign Cabinet and Board of Governors, Ontario Tech volunteers contribute their time, talents and expertise to enhance the university community and shape a brighter future, driven by a commitment to the ethical application of technology.

“Volunteers are essential to Ontario Tech’s success, by helping prepare students to make a positive long-term impact in a tech-focused world,” said James Barnett, Vice-President, Advancement. “Whether mentoring students, cheering on our Ridgebacks teams, offering expertise in advisory roles, sharing our story, or supporting key fundraising initiatives, our volunteers serve with passion and purpose.”
