Oshawa native Poole joins men's hockey recruiting class

The Ontario Tech men's hockey team is happy to announce the addition of Nathan Poole to the 2025-26 recruiting class.

OSHAWA, Ont. – The Ontario Tech men's hockey team is happy to announce the addition of Nathan Poole to the 2025-26 recruiting class.

"We are very excited to welcome Nate to our program from the Haliburton Huskies," said Ridgebacks Head Coach Curtis Hodgins. "He is a solid two-way player who plays the game hard and can contribute in all aspects of the game."

This season, Poole suited up for the Haliburton County Huskies in the OJHL, where he bagged 81 points in 49 games and received OJHL Second All-Star Team. He also led the OJHL in assists with 57.

The former U16 Oshawa General has also played in the OHL for three seasons on the Kingston Frontenacs, appearing in 154 games for the Frontenacs.

"Nate is a local Oshawa native who played all his minor hockey here in town and is very well known in our area." Hodgins says, "We look forward to continuing to add to our Durham Region player content as we work through the rest of this year's recruiting class and into the future. Welcome to Nate and his family."
