Ridgebacks fall at home to Queen's
OSHAWA, Ont. – The Ontario Tech men's basketball team showed fight throughout Friday night's matchup, but Queen's steady shooting proved the difference as the Ridgebacks dropped a 94–68 decision at the Campus Recreation and Wellness Centre. Keon Baker led the Ridgebacks with 22 points, adding seven rebounds and two assists. Mark Stoop delivered 15 points and nine rebounds, while TJ Richards added 12 points and four assists. Caleb Kassa contributed nine points and eight rebounds, and Johan Germain chipped in four points and two assists.
Queen's came out strong with a 24-point opening quarter and continued to shoot efficiently throughout the night, finishing at 52 percent from the field and 42 percent from three. Ontario Tech found its rhythm in the second and third quarters, scoring 20 and 18 points respectively, but the Gaels' perimeter shooting and ball movement kept them in control.
The Ridgebacks will host the McMaster Marauders at the Campus Recreation and Wellness Centre at 6 p.m. on Sunday, November 30 in the final game of the semester before the winter break.
