NORTH BAY, Ont. – The Ontario Tech Ridgebacks picked up a 5–3 road win over the Nipissing Lakers on Saturday, January 17, scoring three times in the third period to seal the victory.

Ontario Tech opened the scoring late in the first period when Nolan Ford finished a play set up by Ludovic Dufort and Duston Hutton. The Ridgebacks doubled their lead just over four minutes later on the power play, with Gabriel Bernier converting off a feed from Kyloe Ellis to give Ontario Tech a 2–0 advantage after 20 minutes.

Nipissing responded in the second period with a power-play marker from David Campbell to cut the deficit to one, but Beckett Langkow stood tall in the Ridgebacks' net to preserve the lead through two periods.

The third period belonged to Ontario Tech. Alex Bradshaw restored the two-goal cushion early in the frame, finishing a setup from Ishan Mittoo and Ellis. Bernier struck again at 7:33, scoring his second of the night to make it 4–1. Nipissing pushed back with two goals, including another power-play tally from Campbell, but Dufort iced the game with an empty-net goal in the final two minutes.

Ontario Tech will continue its road swing on Friday, January 23, when the Ridgebacks visit the Carleton Ravens.
