Morrison leads Ridgebacks in hard fought loss to Brock
OSHAWA, Ont. – The Ontario Tech Ridgebacks faced a tough battle against the Brock Badgers on Friday, ultimately falling 83–58 at the Campus Recreation and Wellness Centre.
Brock's performance was spearheaded by Madalyn Weinert, who posted a game-high 23 points, 11 rebounds, and three blocks. Jamie Addy and Shailah Adams contributed 15 and 10 points, respectively, while the Badgers' bench added 31 points to seal the victory.
The Ridgebacks kept the score tight in the opening quarter, trailing 23–19, but Brock widened the gap with a 26-point second quarter. Brianna Morrison led the Ridgebacks with 18 points, including four three-pointers, but turnovers and rebounds proved pivotal as Brock capitalized on second-chance opportunities and Ontario Tech's 26 turnovers.
Ontario Tech will face a quick turn around when they take on the TMU Bold for the annual Beach Night in the CRWC tomorrow night starting at 6 p.m.
