OSHAWA, Ont. – Adra Barnet of women's basketball and Cullen McLean of men's hockey have been named the Ontario Tech athletes of the week for the period ending on January 26.

Barnet, a second year Nuclear Engineering student had a stand out week for the Ridgebacks, picking up a season high 16 points against the TMU Bold. She also chipped in 10 points and four rebounds against the Brock Badgers on Friday night.

McLean kick started the weekend by picked up a goal in a tight 3-2 loss to the Waterloo Warriors on Friday, and continued his hot streak by picking two goals, including a game winner in over time, against the Laurier Golden Hawks.

The men's hockey team is back on campus this week when they host the first annual Country Night on Thursday, January 30. The Ontario Tech basketball teams will be on the road this week in Ottawa, but return back to the CRWC for the final games of the season on February 14 and 15.
