Ontario Tech drops home decision to Laurentian
OSHAWA, Ont. – The Ontario Tech women's basketball team dropped a 54–37 decision to the Laurentian Voyageurs Friday night at the Campus Recreation and Wellness Centre.
Laurentian built an early 16–2 lead in the opening quarter and held on to it for the entire game. The Ridgebacks showed resilience throughout the night, battling defensively and generating trips to the free-throw line, where they shot 77.8 per cent as a team.
Adra Barnet led Ontario Tech with seven points, while Brianna Morrison and Rosheen Antonroy added six points apiece. Elliot Cowan chipped in seven rebounds to pace the Ridgebacks on the glass.
Ontario Tech looks to bounce back tomorrow night as they return to the court for Taco Night, while also celebrating their graduating seniors when they take on the Nipissing Lakers at 6 p.m.
