Barnet and Gosse shine in loss to TMU
OSHAWA, Ont. – The Ontario Tech women's basketball team was outpaced by the TMU Bold 83-42 on Saturday night at the Campus Recreation and Wellness Centre.
Despite the result, the Ridgebacks had several standout performers. Adra Barnet led the Ridgebacks with a team-high 16 points, including two three-pointers, while Kaleah Gosse added 15 points, showcasing her sharpshooting by going 3-for-5 from beyond the arc. However, turnovers plagued Ontario Tech, committing 32 against the Metropolitan's aggressive defence.
Toronto's Kaillie Hall shone with a game-high 24 points, complemented by Hailey Franco-DeRyck's dominant performance on the boards with 13 rebounds.
The game was also the annual Beach Night at the Campus Recreation and Wellness Centre.
The Ridgebacks will now head out on an extended road trip that will begin with a stop in Ottawa, Ont. to take on the Carleton Ravens.
