Opened in 2006, this building houses some of Canada’s most modern labs, academic offices and other learning facilities.

This three-storey building includes:

• Combustion and Engines Lab
• Electric Machines and Power Systems Lab
• Engineering Innovation Hub, comprising the Jeffery S. Boyce Engineering Innovation and Design Studio, Engineering Machine Shop, and the Student Concept Design Lab
• Industrial Automation and Mechanical Vibrations Lab
• Materials Science and Solid Mechanics Lab
• Prototyping and Manufacturing Lab
• Solar Energy and Heat Transfer Lab

The building's equipment was carefully selected to educate students about technologies of the future and the building itself has become a showcase for the delivery of engineering education.
