Ridgebacks get veteran leadership with the addition of Fisher

The Ridgebacks women's lacrosse team is pleased to announce the recruitment of the five-foot-three defencemen Catherine Fisher.

OSHAWA, Ont. – The Ridgebacks women's lacrosse team is pleased to announce the recruitment of the five-foot-three defencemen Catherine Fisher.
 
Fisher joins Ontario Tech from the Guelph Gryphons where she played five years on the starting defense all while earning and winning the OUA academic achievement award. 
 
The Toronto native also involved herself in the community, organizing a blood drive for a little girl that she had met who suffered from stage four high risk metastatic neuroblastoma along with raising money for research for this disease. 
 
"We are pleased to announce the addition of Catherine to our program," says head coach Liane Chornobay. "Catherine has extensive defensive experience and success both at the club and university level. We are very excited to see her excel in the orange and blue."
 
When Fisher joins the Ridgebacks this fall she will enroll in her bachelor of applied science - child youth and family studies co-op.
