Ridgebacks bested by no.3 ranked Carleton at home
OSHAWA, Ont – The Ontario Tech men's soccer program fell short in a battle of nationally ranked teams, losing 4-0 to the visiting Carleton Ravens.
The Ridgebacks found several scoring chances throughout the first thirty minutes of the game off crosses, and a long shot from Jack Sears (Ajax, Ont.) hit the crossbar, but the Ravens opened the scoring late in the first half with a goal from Caden Tomy. Shortly after, Darren Bouaziz and Eric Yoseke each took turns finding their way onto the scoreboard to end the first half.
In the 51st minute, Adam N'Goran helped Yusuf Osman find the back of the net, putting the Ravens up 4-0.
This is just the third time the Ridgebacks have lost in regular season over the past three years.
The Ridgebacks won't get much time to rest, with another nationally ranked opponent on deck tomorrow when the ninth ranked TMU Bold stop by Vaso's Field at 1/3:15 p.m.
