Maiorano steps into full-time assistant role with men's soccer
OSHAWA, Ont. – The Ontario Tech men's soccer team is happy to announce the addition of Michael Maiorano as a full-time assistant.
Maiorano joined the Ridgebacks in 2022 and has been a part of the most successful period in the Ridgebacks men's soccer as Ontario Tech amassed a record 19-2-3 over the past two seasons.
"I'm thrilled to be stepping into this new position and to continue working with Coach Ramin and the players as we prepare to host nationals this upcoming season," said Maiorano.
Before transitioning to coaching, Maiorano played at Lakeland College and Holy Cross of Notre Dame in the U.S.A. before his time with the Ridgebacks. He's also beginning to climb the coaching ranks within Whitby FC OPDL and Darby FC and was the Darby FC League1 head coach this season.
"I am truly excited and thrilled to have coach Mike join our team," said head coach Ramin Mohammadi. "His passion for the game and commitment to developing our players will be a tremendous asset. We're excited to see the positive impact coach Mike makes on and off the field. We also hope to provide an environment for Mike to develop his coaching. Looking forward to a productive season together!"
