The Ontario Tech men's soccer team continued their hot start on the road to nationals, taking down the visiting Nipissing Lakers 5-0.
OSHAWA, Ont – The Ontario Tech men's soccer team continued their hot start on the road to nationals, taking down the visiting Nipissing Lakers 5-0.
Alex Maadanian (Markham, Ont.) scored the first goal for the Ridgebacks in the 37th minute. Just minutes later, Alexander Irwin ( London, Ont.) took his turn, scoring his first of the game with help from Maadanian.
After halftime, Irwin put in his second on a penalty kick. Kairo Coore (Whitby, Ont.) came flying down the field with two more goals to end the night for Ontario Tech.
The Ridgebacks will now get a break before they return to action on September 14 at 3:15 p.m. when they take on the Carleton Ravens.
