Esprit and Emamalie named Ontario Tech athletes of the week
Trivine Esprit of men's soccer and Faatimah Emamalie of women's golf have been named Ontario Tech athletes of the week for the period ending on Sunday, September 14.
OSHAWA, Ont. – Trivine Esprit of men's soccer and Faatimah Emamalie of women's golf have been named Ontario Tech athletes of the week for the period ending on Sunday, September 14.
Esprit, a fourth-year kinesiology major, notched his first goal of the season when the Ridgebacks took on the Carleton Ravens this past weekend at Vaso's Field for the annual Beach Day event.
Emamalie, a first-year kinesiology student, teed off on a new Ridgebacks golf season at the Bert Kea Queen's Invitational, carding a 91 and placing 16th in the individual portion of the event.
The Ridgebacks men's soccer team will be on the road this weekend to face the Toronto Varsity Blues, while the golf teams head to St. Catharines, Ont., for the Brock Invitational.
