OSHAWA, Ont. - The Ontario Tech women's basketball team is excited to announce the addition of Kaleah Gosse to the backcourt from Toronto, Ont.
Gosse joins the Ridgeback from Bond Academy in the OSBA, having spent the prior four years competing for J. Addison. In her senior season, Gosse helped lead Bond to a 12-4 regular season record while averaging 10 points, 4 assists, and 3 steals per game.
The five-foot-eight guard says she decided to join the Ridgebacks because she felt it was the perfect blend of academics and athletics that she was looking for. The team and coaches made her feel at home even before stepping foot on campus and Gosse says that the encouragement from them has been a game-changer throughout her high school career.
"Having Kaleah commit to our program for next season has been an important signing for us at the guard position," says head coach Megan Grant. "She provides us with solid scoring and a willingness to shoot from outside while also being a capable ball handler who can initiate the offense. Kaleah is a very strong defender on the perimeter and will immediately help us address that need from last season."
Gosse will enroll in Health Sciences when she joins the Ridgebacks this fall and is the fifth recruit announced for the 2024-2025 season.
