Ridgebacks finish road swing in Montreal
MONTREAL, Que.– The Ontario Tech men's hockey team opened Sunday's game with a quick spark in Montreal, but despite an early lead the Ridgebacks couldn't slow a steady Concordia push in a 4–1 road loss.
The Ridgebacks struck first just 1:46 into the game when Ben Roode buried his first of the season off a feed from Justin Svenson. Concordia answered less than a minute later, then added another at 7:32 to take a 2–1 lead through twenty minutes.
Ontario Tech built pressure in the second period with nine shots, but the Stingers added to their lead late in the frame at 17:12. Concordia made it 4–1 early in the third.
Edouard Gauthier stopped 23 shots for Ontario Tech, while the Ridgebacks went 0-for-4 on the man advantage.
Ontario Tech now returns home for Toonie Dog Night on Friday, November 14, when they host the Queen's Gaels at the Campus Ice Centre.
