Ridgebacks unable to slow Gee-Gees on the road
OTTAWA, Ont. – The Ontario Tech men's hockey team travelled to Ottawa for the penultimate game of the 2025 portion of their schedule and lost a 5-1 showdown with the Ottawa Gee-Gees.
Alex Papaspyropoulos scored the lone goal for Ontario Tech, converting on a first-period power play that briefly cut the deficit to 2–1. But Ottawa responded with a power-play marker in the final minute of the opening frame and added two more in the second to pull away.
Langkow kept the Ridgebacks in it early with 12 saves in the first period and 20 through 40 minutes, but Ontario Tech couldn't generate enough offence to match Ottawa's pressure.
Marc-Antoine Seguin led Ottawa with two goals, while Mitch Martin, Andrew Belchamber and Elliot Dutil also scored. Ottawa finished 2-for-6 on the power play, while the Ridgebacks went 1-for-7.
The Ridgebacks will wrap up 2025 on the road before the annual winter break with a game against the Nipissing Lakers on Sunday, November 30.
