Campus Cup returns to Vaso's Field this fall
OSHAWA, Ont. – Campus Cup is coming back to Vaso's Field to kick off the fall semester on Tuesday, September 2 as the Durham Lords and Ontario Tech Ridgebacks soccer teams fight for bragging rights on campus.
This year's festivities kick off at 5 p.m. with a free Harvey's BBQ, ice cream, t-shirts and more. Test your luck at our famous game of Heads and Tails for a chance to win an iPad and enjoy musical artist, King Daviid, as emcee and DJ throughout the night.
Campus Cup is the longest standing athletic tradition dating back to 2009 when the men's teams took to the field for the first time. Last year's Campus Cup welcomed a record setting crowd of over 1,300 to Vaso's Field while the Durham Lords women's soccer team broke the decade long reign of the Ontario Tech Ridgebacks, and the Lords picked up 3-2 win.
The women's teams will play at 6 p.m., followed by the men's competition at 7 p.m.
