OSHAWA, Ont – The Ridgebacks men's basketball playoff run continues this Saturday when they head to Thunder Bay, Ont. to take on the Lakehead Thunderwolves.

The matchup has taken place twice in recent memory, with the Thunderwolves coming away with the most recent victory taking down the Ridgebacks 85-68 at the Campus Recreation and Wellness Centre earlier this season. The series also serves as a rematch of last years opening round match up where the Ridgebacks earned the first playoff win in program history with an 89-78 victory.

The Ridgebacks will be hoping to see continued production from the red hot Zubair Seyed who is coming off a 26 point performance against the Brock Badgers.

Ontario Tech has shown their versatility as a team over the past two weeks, winning a defensive battle against the Brock Badgers, outlasting Carleton at home and finding key wins on their northern road trip against Nipissing and Laurentian. The Ridgebacks are coming into the game with four wins in their last five games, while the Lakehead Thunderwolves are coming off of a 87-64 loss to the Laurentian Voyageurs end the regular season.
