OSHAWA, Ont. – Julia Jackson's two goals weren't enough to overcome Toronto Varsity Blues on Saturday night as the Ridgebacks lost 4-2.
Toronto skated to a victory, with Aili McKeown leading the charge with two goals and an assist. Taylor Delahey and Laralee Rizarri also found the back of the net for the Varsity Blues. The Ridgebacks rallied in the third period with both of Jackson's goals but couldn't close the gap.
Ontario Tech goaltender Ariella Merlino turned aside 30 of 34 shots, while Toronto's Lyla McKinnon made 26 saves for the win.
The Ridgebacks women's hockey team returns to the ice at the Campus Ice Centre to take on the Brock Badgers on Saturday, November 23 at 7 p.m.
