Krulicki notches OT winner at home
OSHAWA, Ont. – Mackenna Krulicki played the hero in overtime as the Ontario Tech Ridgebacks edged the TMU Bold 3-2 in a nail-biting finish Friday night.
Krulicki's game-winner at 4:14 of the extra frame, assisted by Alyssa Denney and Erin Lawless, sealed the comeback for Ontario Tech, which trailed twice in the contest.
TMU opened the scoring at 14:42 of the first period with a power-play goal from Eden Dusome, but Julia Jackson responded for the Ridgebacks with just six seconds left in the frame.
The Bold regained the lead early in the second on a goal from Kayla Kondo before Ontario Tech's Nicole Escano evened the score late in the third.
Goaltender Zoe McGee was outstanding in net, stopping 39 of 41 shots to backstop the Ridgebacks to victory.
The Ridgebacks will be back in action tomorrow at 3 p.m. for Graduating Seniors Day when they take on the Ottawa Gee-Gees at the Campus Ice Centre.
